his was the second time we have stayed here and felt I had to leave a review.
The Hideaway is fabulous in everyday, the building itself is lovely with ample parking for guests. The rooms are all lovely and very clean, both rooms we have stayed in have had free standing baths which I love. Coffee and tea facilities in the rooms and freshly baked cakes wrapoed up given to guests at breakfast or on arrival.
Richard is fabulous and always chats when we see him.
It is within walking distance to the town centre and shops and restaurants.
This guest house is a must whenever we visit the lakes.
An easy walk from the station, The Hidaway is down a quiet lane and perfectly located to walk into Windermere town centre for dinner or to catch the bus to Grasmere or the to the pier for a boat ride. A breakfast to die for and friendly hosts. A real gem.
The Hideaway was just lovely! The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious!! ! I require a gluten-free diet, and that was no problem.
It was within walking distance of local restaurants and shops. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay there very much and would stay there again.
