What better way to soak up medieval history than a self catering stay at Tiverton Castle. The accommodation is comfortable and homely, the decor suits , but with every comfort. The hosts go out of their way to welcome folk and ensure your stay is memorable. The guided tour, a bonus was fascinating. Thank you Alison and Angus, for a fabulously relaxing month. See you next year.

Delightful short break in June, staying in Lower East Court, one of several self catering properties in the Castle complex. Owners happy to take bookings for less than a week and for stays starting on any day. This unit is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom self contained flat in a part of the Castle built in Victorian times which means big rooms and high ceilings, so very comfortable. Exactly as described on its web site and equipped with everything. Secondary glazing means it's very quiet; neither the nearby church clock nor the road can be heard. Reliable wi-fi. Overall excellent; will return.
The Castle gardens are wonderful – worth booking just to see them.

We spent a week in Pear Tree cottage and it was absolutely wonderful. Alison and Angus are excellent hosts who made us feel more than welcome. Very spacious rooms, well equiped and most comfortable. The castle itself is also interesting with beautiful gardens and a very interesting history.
