We all had a Sunday roast and all were delicious. The beef was pink and tender, the lamb tasty and the chicken lovely too. All served with lovely sides. Really great service and catered for someone with allergies with no fuss. They made us feel very welcome and it’s the best roast we’ve had in the area for a long time. Thank you!

Spent Friday to Sunday as a little break. The food was amazing and Ruth and the team were fantastic. I took my dog Peggy and there was a dog blanket, bowl and treat in our room for her.

We had a perfect 2 night stay and could not fault this friendly village pub. The room was large and comfortable and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was outstanding as was the selection of beers. Great walks on Hadrians Wall and direct from the pub. The two large open fires made the bar and dining area cosy and gave the place some real character.
