Birmingham Botanical Gardens, an educational charity, are an oasis of peace and tranquillity one mile from the city centre.
Opened in 1832, these historic Gardens include four stunning glasshouses taking the visitor from tropical rainforest to arid desert. Fifteen acres of beautiful landscaped gardens contain collections of roses, alpines, perennials, rare trees and shrubs.
Ideal for picnics and exploring all year round, attractions include a four-flight aviary, children's playground, art gallery, tearoom and shop.
A programme of regular events include flower shows, family fun days, theatre, music and art.
BMET College at The Gardens' offers education courses, leisure learning and fun activities for every visitor.
