The Silk Museums in Macclesfield tell the definitive story of silk.
Compelling exhibits on three sites show a working Victorian Silk Mill, costume and silk manufacturing displays. Demonstrations of jacquard handloom weaving, exhibitions of textiles and costume, models, audio visual programme and graphics. Tea-room and large shop specialising in local silk goods.
