A fascinating 17th century town house, built between 1660 and the 1680's by the Childe family.
The building has been many things over the years, including a saddlers, a tent makers, a stationers, a restaurant, a cake and chocolate shop (where they made their own chocolate) and now it is the home to Guildford Borough Council's art gallery, showing selections from the Borough's collection and various temporary exhibitions throughout the year.
Guildford House Gallery has a delightful Tea Room in the quiet Courtyard, and a gift shop, well known for its selection of greeting cards and high quality craftwork. FREE Admission.
