Southwater Lake is approximately 6-acres in size, which makes an ideal environment for introducing people, of all ages and abilities to the world of watersports in a safe and pleasant environment. Activities to choose from Dinghy Sailing, Stand up paddle boarding, Kayaking, Open Canoeing, Raft Building, Orienteering, sit on top kayaks, stand up paddle boards, mountain bikes, Team Building, and River Journeys. Paddle Sport Instructor & Coach Award.

UK Kayaking operates a retail outlet selling a wide range of clothing and equipment, our widest range being Canoes and Kayaks for demonstration purposes.

The Centre is recognised by the British Canoeing Quality Mark for Paddle Sports. The centre is also licensed by the AALA.

My wife, me and our 24 year old son did our first lessons in Kayaking in wet and windy conditions on the lake. The instruction was excellent and the facilities fantastic. We spent the whole day, (9.30-3.30) with a break for lunch, on the water.
We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be going back to take our learning to the next level
