The Golden Lion, grade II listed Leyburn landmark hotel dating back to the 1850s reopened just before Christmas 2013 under family-run management. The bar offers a warm Dales welcome and a locally-sourced, real ale experience. A function room is available for special events. The building has open fires and is dog-friendly.
Our comfortable bedrooms have been recently refurbished which include TV and Hospitality trays, and our Restaurant offers bar food and a la carte for that special evening out.
There are many attractions close by including Tennants Auctioneers, The Forbidden Corner, The Wensleydale Railway, The Teapottery and The Little Chocolate Shop. Leyburn is also an excellent walking centre with The Shawl a few minutes from the Market Place.
